Mega Millions ticket worth $1M sold in N.J. for weekend drawing – NJ.com

UPDATE: Mega Millions ticket worth $1M was bought at N.J. gas station
The only Mega Millions second-prize, $1 million lottery ticket sold across the country for Friday’s drawing was bought in New Jersey.
The lucky ticket matched five numbers but not the Megaball. New Jersey Lottery officials will disclose where it was purchased later Monday morning.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 11, 16, 23, 24 and 30. The Mega Ball drawn was 24.
No one across the country hit the $42 million jackpot, pushing the top prize for Tuesday’s drawing to an estimated $53 million with a cash option of $35.1 million.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million.
The game is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Monday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $183 million with a cash option of $122.4 million. No single ticket sold for Saturday’s drawing is worth more than $300.
